A simple sentence has one subject and one verb. The subject tells who or what did something. The verb tells the action. The verb tells the action.
These are simple sentence:
S+ V
I study.
He speaks.
It is raining.
The teachers are teaching.
S+ V
I study.
He speaks.
It is raining.
The teachers are teaching.
A sentence may also have a complement. The complement completes the meaning of the verb or adds more information to the sentence.
S+V+Complement
I study English.
S+V+Complement
I study English.
He speaks Chinese.
The teachers are teaching in the university.
